Haven't posted a vid in while. Got really sick for a few weeks and couldn't do much of anything. My live performance schedule has involved at least making an effort to play out some place once a week.
Last night I played at a place I had not been to before, the Astoria Bar and Poker Room in Eugene. Their PA was breaking up with my guitar playing -my percussive style tends to gets lots of weird pops and crunches from cheap PAs- and their PA made my voice sound like pure mud. The clip is of a version of Problem Child by AC/DC. PA aside, my style is getting closer to my ideal in that I tried to make the vocals as bluesy and soulful as I could with my trademark thump and bump jangly guitar.
For the next few months I'm going to focus on recording a demo of 10 or so songs. Still working on just finding a recording method that will be a good compromise between not taking too much time and sounding relatively polished.
Got a bunch of good responses from the booking agent there and a bunch of other folks too.
